Omega 3 Daily for a reason

Omega 3 Daily for a reason

WHAT IS OMEGA 3?

Omega 3 is the name of a type of fat that is found in oil-rich fish and some plant oils. They are from the family of ‘good’ fats – polyunsaturated fatty acids.

Fatty acids are the building blocks of fats and there are many different types of fatty acids, some of which can be made by the body, and some which cannot. The essential fatty acids (or EFA’s) are vital substances that the body must have to maintain optimal health, yet they cannot be made by the body, so a dietary supply is essential.

The most effective omega 3’s are EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

Your best sources of EPA and DHA are fish oil.

WHAT ABOUT FLAXSEED OIL?

You may be under the impression that you can get your omega 3 from plant sources such as flaxseed oil. This is not entirely correct.

Your body can make EPA and DHA out of an omega 3, called alpha linolenic acid (ALA), from plant sources BUT it doesn’t do this conversion very well and therefore the plant sources are less effective than fish oil.

BEST FISH SOURCES OF OMEGA 3

Mackerel, lake trout, herring, fresh tuna (not canned), salmon, canned sardines, Atlantic sturgeon, and anchovies are your best choices.

Even if your diet is rich (more than 3 servings a week) in fish, to get enough EPA and DHA, you really need to take an omega 3 supplement. That is why there is an omega 3 capsule (salmon oil) in each Total Health Pack.

OMEGA 3 DOES EVERYTHING BUT THE DISHES

There is a very impressive list of health benefits derived from omega 3 food and supplements and all of them can be verified. With over 10,00 0 clinical trials, Omega-3 fish oil is one of the most researched substances in modern medicine.

With all these studies, anyone can take Omega 3 supplement with confidence.
