Organic Produce Delivery

Urban Harvest Organic Delivery

Serving the Central Okanagan with farm-fresh, certified organic produce! David Nelson and Lisa McIntosh started Urban Harvest Organic Delivery in January of 2000 – a millennium baby! Having witnessed the positive impact of similar services in Victoria and Vancouver, we were excited about an opportunity to provide Kelowna folks with healthy, high-quality, organically grown fruits and vegetables in a fun and convenient way!

Wise Earth Farm

Wise Earth Farm (est. 2011) is a two-acre, micro scale, urban vegetable farm located at the corner of KLO Rd and Mission Creek in Kelowna, BC. We grow a large variety of delicious, organically grown veggies and herbs throughout the entire growing season here in the Central Okanagan and are always pushing the boundaries to extend the availability of our products throughout the year.

We farm using regenerative agriculture principles which is an approach to food and farming that regenerates soils and increases system biodiversity. We believe that growing delicious and nutritious food comes from the health of the soil that produces it.

Sterling Springs Chicken

Hans, Lisa, Johanna and Jacob Dueck own and operate Sterling Springs Chicken in beautiful Falkland, BC. In our state-of-the-art poultry growing facility, our birds have access to spacious roaming areas, computerized feed systems, filtered water, top-quality feed, sunshine and fresh air.  We want our birds to be happy and healthy, so it’s important to us that they have lots of space to move around.

A big part of our farming philosophy is being involved in all aspects of our business.  This includes hatching, growing, hand-processing and hand-cutting the birds, packaging, delivery, restaurant sales, markets, etc.  We want to be sure that our products are top-quality, and we’re proud to be a part of every aspect.

Keenan Family Farms

We are a young family with 4 children who traded our busy city life and successful careers to seek out a more fulfilling, self-sustainable life in the country. Our growing family is what inspired us to transition our lives to farming. Not only do we want to demonstrate strong work ethic to our children, we want them to be connected to where their food comes from. We hope that they never take food for granted, and that they learn the importance of respecting and caring for the animals that nourish us. Our goal is to raise food for our family and our community all while sustaining our environment for the future.

Animals raised on pasture enjoy a much higher quality of life than those confined within factory farms. When raised on open pasture, animals are able to move around freely and carry out their natural behaviors. Pasture-based systems can help the environment, especially through fertilizing the soil and by reducing the amount of grain produced as feed.

Fresh Valley Farm

Nestled against a mountain backdrop in Spallumcheen BC, Fresh Valley Farms is two quarter section farms owned and run by the Meggait family. The original farm was bought by William Meggait in 1922 and is farmed to this day by the next three successive generations.

This diverse, family farm produces hay, grain, calves, piglets, beef, pork, and chicken using all natural, regenerative systems. There are no chemical inputs used on the farm. The cattle only eat grass and alfalfa grown on the farm, and the pigs and chickens are always on pasture. What feed we do bring onto the farm is GMO free, soy free, and antibiotic/hormone free. It’s mostly just barley, wheat, and peas.

Sweet and Sprouted

Sweet and Sprouted came to be because their founder, Sheri Wren, wanted to share the benefits of the Trim Healthy Mama (THM) eating plan with others. Sheri has experienced first-hand the benefits of “eating the THM way,” and knows it can benefit countless others.

While adopting this new way of fueling her body, she discovered an unexpected challenge: finding recommended ingredients from high-quality, reputable sources, especially in Canada. She founded Sweet and Sprouted to bring exceptional products to people as excited about change as she is.

Our mission at Organic Matters is to source the highest quality ingredients and offer them to you at affordable prices.

We want to support your efforts in feeding yourself, family, clients, and customers with real food created from pure and simple ingredients,
allowing you the possibility to lead a both healthy and affordable lifestyle.

We believe that eating organic whole foods should not be a privilege only few can afford.

Tru Earth Laundry Strips

Detergent that cares about our planet – 94% less transportation pollution

We care about the future of the world we live in. This is why Tru Earth Eco-Strips laundry detergent has a dramatically smaller eco-footprint than liquid and powder detergents. Its packaging uses less plastic, and its light weight reduces transportation fuel consumption and global-warming carbon emissions by 94% compared to today’s leading-brand liquid and powder detergent.

Over 30 billion of loads of laundry are done in North America each year, and the environmental impact is massive. A load’s worth of today’s leading detergent weighs in at over 40 grams. A single Tru Earth Eco-Strip weighs less than 3 grams, or a whopping 94% lighter! With so much less to truck around, and no plastic jug, Tru Earth Eco-Strips helps you lighten your load on the environment. If everyone switched to Tru Earth Eco-Strips, the annual eco-savings would be enormous:

  • Eliminate one billion plastic jugs (you read that right!), saving 700 million from going to landfills
  • Save truck fuel and CO2 equivalent to taking 27 million cars off the road for a day, or planting nine million trees
